I love nothin' more than a spring thunderstorm and an open window, there's just something therapeutic about it, ya know?

I’m a little bit awkward, an introverted extrovert and an out-of-the-box thinker. I love to laugh and if I ever did something else besides photography, it'd be comedy. I fully believe laughter IS the best medicine. I love creating art, whether that’s with my Nikon or my paintbrush and I’ve always been fascinated by old film and history.

I currently hold the title of Photographer and Empowerment Specialist at The Boudoir Studio, located in downtown Sweetwater, TX where we're changing lives every day. My team and I are changing the perceptions our fellow women have about themselves or their bodies.

We are teaching everyday women how to love and care for themselves first, through the art of Boudoir.

A Little About Me

I enjoy back porch sittin’ and thunderstorms.

I’m awkward, introverted and an out-of-the-box thinker.

I love to laugh and I’m pretty sure I’m the funniest person I know.

I love creating art, whether that’s with my Nikon or my paintbrush.

I was born and raised a west Texas girl that spent my weekends at the local dirt track.

I’ve always been fascinated by old film and history, and I love museums!

I love comedy, and fully believe laughter IS the best medicine.

I currently hold the title of Empowerment Specialist

at The Boudoir Studio, located in downtown Sweetwater, TX.

It’s here in the studio that I am at my best, changing lives every day.

Changing the perceptions my fellow women have about themselves or their bodies.

Teaching everyday women how to love and care for themselves first, through the art of Boudoir.

Professional Hair + Makeup

Hi, I’m your hair and makeup artist, Amy Ellison. This has been been my passion for over 14 years and I can’t imagine doing anything else. I was formally trained at The Aveda Institute in San Antonio where I was born and raised. I have worked at many high end salons ultimately found my home in Sweetwater 9 years ago when I got married to my husband. I have 2 children, a son and daughter. They keep things busy and exciting!

I’m currently working at a salon in Roscoe called Southern Belle. I love the small town feel and getting to enjoy doing hair for my neighbors and friends. I really cherish that I have been able to develop lasting relationships with my clients.

It’s always fun and mutually satisfying to work with clients and help them discover exciting ways to showcase their natural beauty. I’d love to help you enhance your hair and makeup and present new ideas to help make you look and feel gorgeous!

Professional Hair + Makeup

I have been professionally doing hair and makeup for 6years now. I have always have been interested in styling hair and wanted to learn more about the chemical side of things, not to mention I was very motivated to be in charge of my own schedule. My favorite thing to do would definitely be color and extensions.

I have a wonderful and spunky little girl, Knoxi, who is full of life and always on the go! I am fortunate to have my immediate family mostly live here in town. I have a great family dynamic, and am with them pretty well anytime I'm not at work.

I'm a lover of the mountains and the sea, so Colorado or Florida I'm down for anytime.

I love boudoir because I get to see these incredible women come out of their shell and see all the beauty they possess. To see the confidence that they gain is such an amazing thing to witness. All their inner beauty is brought to light and shown to them in ways they never thought possible.

I was born and raised in California. I moved to Sweetwater after my 1st marriage ended in 2008 with my 3yr old. At that point, I got my GED and went straight to cosmetology school, where I graduated in 2009. With the help of my family, I opened my own hair salon. I’ve always had a love for anything beauty, and I love to dress up and get ready! I’ve remarried and found the love of my life (well, sometimes lol) and we have 2 kids of our own.

My Favorite Holidays are Halloween and Christmas, and my family is my everything. I’m always with them and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My kids are my second love. We are sports household to the core, with softball, football and dance taking over the rest of my time, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I love to have a good time, laugh, and just always enjoying everything I do with friends and family. My future plans are to reopen my own salon again, and make Sweetwater a boujee ass salon! I am a very “Boujee” person, so I’ve been told, but I feel this also makes me a better Cosmetologist. Making people feel beautiful at the end of the day, is what makes this job rewarding.
